Quick Chicken Stir-Fry Recipe
Keyword: Quick Chicken Stir-Fry
If you're looking for a quick and easy chicken stir-fry recipe that can be on the table in 30 minutes or less, this is your go-to guide. With just a handful of ingredients, you'll have a delicious meal ready to serve with rice or noodles. This versatile dish allows for endless variations based on what vegetables and sauces you prefer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1 bell pepper (any color), sliced into thin strips
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- Salt to taste
- Paprika for garnish (optional)
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4
Instructions
- Start by marinating the chicken strips. In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix together the chicken broth and set aside for later use.
- Heat up your wok or large skillet on medium heat. Add the oil and let it get hot enough to sizzle when you drop a tiny bit of water into it.
- Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Then add the chicken strips and cook them for around 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are no longer pink inside.
- Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside on a plate.
- Return to your wok and add all of the vegetables. Stir-fry everything together for about 3-4 minutes, ensuring that the veggies become tender-crisp.
- Once the vegetables are cooked, return the chicken back into the pan along with the sauce mixture (chicken broth). Mix well until the sauce thickens up and coats all of the ingredients evenly.
- Let it simmer for another 2 minutes to let flavors meld together. Taste test and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
- To serve, garnish with a sprinkle of paprika over top (optional), then pour into bowls alongside hot steamed rice or noodles.
Tips & Variations
- If you want more heat in your dish, add some sliced fresh chili peppers along with the garlic. You can also include a few drops of hot sauce too.
- To make it extra special, consider adding oyster sauce towards the end when incorporating the vegetables and chicken back into the mix. This will enhance umami flavor which pairs wonderfully well with this dish.
- For vegetarians or those looking for alternatives to meat, replace chicken strips with tofu slices after marinating them similarly as described earlier.
